What’s your favorite piece of code that you had to throw away?

Ever been here before...?

Developer: “Hey, I just finished the feature”
Product Owner: “Oh, the customer actually wanted something different. Sorry about that.”
Developer: “Oh” {furiously clicks delete}

I know I have had to toss some of my favorite things I’ve written. And I’ve written about how change can be okay and might even be the best thing for the user.
